Sunday, May 6 is National Hike for Hospice and the kick off to National Palliative Care Week. Join us to raise funds and  awareness of end-of-life and grief care in Camrose and District.

This year’s hike takes place at the Stoney Creek Center overlooking the ski hill in Camrose. We meet at 2pm, walk a  leisurely pace through the creek valley, and return to enjoy entertainment, burgers, and conversation. Paths are stroller, dog, child, and wheelchair friendly.

As in other years, we invite you to bring your connections on board by sponsoring you for the walk. Click on the PDF link to download the 2018 HIke Pledge Sheet.

This year, National Hospice Palliative Care Week runs from May 6-12. Our theme for 2018, “Towards a more compassionate Canada, Eh?” encourages Canadians to consider ways community involvement can support the dying and bereavement process. The Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association is calling on Canadians to answer these questions:
  • What makes a compassionate community?
  • How can compassionate communities support end of life care?

Join the conversation at this drop-in, no-fee gathering where all things death and dying are open for discussion. All Death Cafès occur on the lower level of the Camrose Public Library. Please note, this is not a grief-therapy or support group; rather, it is a conversation forum.
